Salvatore has held various senior management roles with both financial institutions and technology organizations. He brings over 30 years of experience shepherding advanced, industry leading technology. Most notably, Salvatore is a pioneer of regulatory compliance solutions for financial institutions.
Today
Currently, Salvatore is the President of The Josefa Group – a new services and software product organization dedicated to the changing needs of Financial Institutions. In this role, the basic principles of Quality, Trust, and Value will be followed to substantively redefine the enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance markets. The transformation of the financial services industry in the wake of the economic crisis of ’08 will be addressed meeting a new standard of operational performance.
Metavante
During the prior three years, Salvatore held the position of President of the Prime Compliance group of Metavante Corporation. He was responsible for the senior leadership of the group while overseeing the integration of Prime Associates, Inc. with Metavante’s Risk and Compliance Division. While at Metavante, revenues were increased three fold and staff more than doubled, while serving as the lead business group in the Risk and Compliance Division.
Prime Associates, Inc.
Prior to his position with Metavante, Salvatore was the founder and senior manager of Prime Associates, Inc. Prime started operations in 1982 as a small consulting firm staffed by four dedicated professionals. From this core group, advanced technology products were developed to meet the messaging and payment processing needs of international banks.
In 1999, anticipating significant opportunity, Salvatore shifted the focus of Prime to the regulatory compliance market. The transition required the development of sophisticated products and regulatory databases for which there was little precedent. At the same time, he put in place a leading Sales and Marketing organization, a Professional Services team, and operational support to meet the needs of this rapidly developing industry.
Prime’s products and services were often first to market establishing the de facto standard for banks, insurance firms, and securities companies worldwide. As a visionary in this industry, he assisted regulators and senior financial executives in charting a solution to new and complex regulations. Prime quickly emerged as the leader in the regulatory compliance industry. Its position allowed Prime to grow internationally as well as domestically servicing the largest global financial firms including Mizuho Bank, Deutsche Bank, American Express, The Federal Reserve Bank, Mellon Bank, Met Life, and Northwestern Mutual Life, among over 200 other relationships.
In 2004, Salvatore managed the acquisition of Prime by Metavante. Working with Prime’s investment bankers and attorneys he oversaw the company’s auction sale monetizing Prime for its true market value.
Banking Experience
Prior to founding Prime, Salvatore was with several international banks including Arab American Bank, Banco Urquijo, and The National Commercial Bank. His management responsibilities have included comptroller, operations manager, IT manager, and auditor. While at these international banks, he specialized in the startup of the bank’s operations.
Other Vitals
Salvatore has a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a major in accounting from Baruch College. He currently serves on the board of On Our Own; a not for profit dedicated to establishing residential and work transition programs for young adults with developmental disabilities.
